I was was a career professional of more than 20 years. That found himself working from home, due to the COVID pandemic. Everywhere I looked I saw more and more jobs lost and I was completely grateful to have mine. At least that is what I thought. Then I got the call, “you are being let go” and at that moment in a single instant, everything changed.
Unfortunately, I found myself in the same boat as millions of others. Others who found themselves unemployed. I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to care for my family. Scared that I wasn’t going to be able to overcome this tragedy. Scared that I wasn’t good enough to find something else in this new world I found myself in.

Change for the better! This was the time, the time for me to take control of my own destiny and begin working on my online business. Over the last few years I have been working on a side hustle. While it was not a full-time income, it was the foundation that I find myself thriving to scale today. Is it scary? Yes, it is! It is naturally out of my comfort zone, but I have been preparing myself for this moment for several years. See I thrive out of my comfort zone, it is something that I find enjoyable.
You may be thinking, really Zeb enjoyable? Yes, you know why, because that is where I find myself learning and being challenged and that is my sweet spot. There are many unknowns and it may not work out, but if I never give it a try I will never know if it’s meant to be.
I have decided, instead of chasing another career stuck behind a cubicle all day. That sucks all your life away. To instead chase my dream of a laptop lifestyle. Am I nervous? Yes, but I’m more excited, because I now have the opportunity to switch my side hustle into a full-time income. Not everyday is there an opportunity to do something you want to do. Something that will set you free from the rat race of corporate America.
I am thankful that this opportunity has come about. Of course minus the circumstances and being laid off. I know in two years this will have been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am well on my journey to living a complete laptop lifestyle and creating a full-time income online. I have been building the foundation for this exact moment for the last couple of years. I am so glad to have multiple streams of passive income. Now is my time and time to scale this up into a full-time income.
Let’s do this, let’s take control of our destiny, so we will never have to rely on someone else again. I will never put all my eggs in one basket and I hope you don’t either. I can’t wait to share my journey with you 🙂
